Before You Apply

Questions, answered.

How does booking actually work?

Short application first. If the project fits, you get a producer call to settle scope, timeline and terms, and then studio time goes on the calendar. Nobody pays anything until the agreement is signed.

Who owns the song when we’re done?

You do. Engagements that include composition are delivered under a standard producer/writer fee agreement that transfers copyright to the artist or label, agreed and signed before work begins.

Who are these engagements for?

Side A is for artists, labels and managers with a serious release coming. If you’re not there yet, start in the Den. Sessions gets his ears on your record every month for less than one studio hour costs.

What exactly is Den Sessions?

A capped membership for working artists. Every month: a live session where he critiques member records, a song queue, and a breakdown of how a hit was written. $299 a month, cancel whenever, money back if the first month doesn’t deliver. Dues count toward a Side A booking, up to three months’ worth.

What if I just want feedback on my music?

The Call is thirty minutes of notes on your music. The Session is a full day in the room. Start with the Call.
