Poo Bear greets everyone by saying, “Happy Birthday”, because he feels like everyday should feel like your birthday. As unexpected as that may be, it always incites a smile. Then again, everything about the five-time Grammy Award nominated singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur is just as unpredictable. His gracious demeanor supersedes an unbelievable career.

 

Influenced by Stevie Wonder, Poo Bear co-wrote his first hit for Platinum selling R&B group 112 titled, “Anywhere”. This began his catalog of songs written for a multitude of artists including, The Rolling Stones, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Sinead O’Connor, Pink, Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Ludacris, Jagged Edge, Glen Lewis, Patti LaBelle, Dr. Dre, Big Sean, Lupe Fiasco,  J.Lo, DJ Khaled, Drake, Rick Ross, J.Balvin, Jason Derulo, Fat Joe, as well as hits for Kelly Rowland, Jill Scott, Snoop Dogg, Big Boi, Bun B, Zac Brown, Yo Gotti, Eve, Kelis, Sam Smith, Ruben Studdard & Trey Songz just to name a few. Often times, in order to attain depth and quality, the artists insist on using Poo Bear’s background vocals.

With songs topping the charts and every artist wanting to reap the benefits of Boyd’s masterful vocal production, Poo Bear embarked on the biggest selling album of the millennium.  He co-wrote multiple tracks on Usher Raymond’s, “Confessions” album, including the hit single “Caught Up” which awarded him an accolade of awards. Poo Bear has also been honored with dozens of ASCAP Awards for singles such as “She Ain’t You” recorded by Chris Brown.

In 2013, Poo Bear met Justin Bieber & joined him on his Believe tour, where he was extremely influential in crafting the direction for Justin Bieber’s comeback. Poo Bear wrote and co-produced 10 songs on the “Journals” album, 16 songs on the “Purpose” album including the hits “Where Are U Now” & “What Do You Mean”. This album broke The Beatles record for most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time boasting 17 songs on the charts simultaneously. Poo Bear wrote and produced in its entirety, Justin’s album “Changes” which included “Intentions” and was supported by Bieber’s 10-episode docu-series, Justin Bieber: Seasons.

Earmarked by blockbuster smashes by Dan & Shay’s “10,000 Hours,” Ed Sheeran’s “I Don’t Care”, and Chris Brown’s “I Can Transform Ya” featuring Lil Wayne & Swizz Beatz as well as the 34-times platinum “Despacito (Remix)” featuring Justin Bieber for Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, his catalog has dozens of multi-platinum certifications, and over 100 billion streams and counting.

Poo Bear has not only graced numerous music charts around the world but has commanded the attention of the feature film and television industry. Sean P Diddy Combs utilized Poo Bear’s talents for his network television series, “Making the Band”, featuring him writing songs and vocal producing Danity Kane for their self-titled debut album.  He has also contributed to the soundtrack for the acclaimed feature film, “The Fast and the Furious”, co-writing and featuring on a song for 8Ball & MJG. Poo Bear can also be heard singing the theme song that he wrote for the History Channels series “Roots”, as well as the theme song for PBR (Pro Bull Riding Association) featuring Steven Tyler. Poo Bear also wrote the theme song for the UFC fight featuring Ronda Rousey, performed my Machine Gun Kelly.

His reputation for being a consummate professional and guaranteed crowd pleaser has awarded him the opportunity to work with legendary musician Bob Dylan, with Dylan contributing lyrics & collaborating with T Bone Burnett and Jared Gustadt for an album entitled “Bear & A Banjo”.  Other iconic collaborations include Jah Cure, Mavado, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Juanes, Anitta, Diplo, Skrillex, JackU and iconic DJ Paul Oakenfold. Poo Bear was the featured vocalist on “Would You Ever” by Skrillex and even more than his lyrical prowess resonates with audiences worldwide, his voice breathes life into every track. 

Poo Bear has released several passion projects including “Beats2BreakUp2”, “Beats2MakeLove2”, “Poo Bear Presents: Bearthday Music”, “The Book of Nabeel” and “Guns & Toilet Paper”.

 

At the same time, his entrepreneurial portfolio includes HFACTOR Water, Wonderbrett Cannabis, Liminal Space 3D technology, 100 Thieves gaming team, and his own Bearthday Music record label.
